The Castello Izzalini was fortified by a mercenary leader of a troop of brigands Ezzalino da Romano from whom the castle was named took possession of the castle and transformed it into a fortified castle complete with turrets and canon port holes. Today the sensations and atmosphere of the past can be revisited and savored: the thick defensive walls and the secret passages have been faithfully restored that welcome guests into a fairy tale atmosphere. The décor of the castle is modern interpretation of the style of ancient furniture used in the middle ages are tastefully combined with conveniences of today.
